2 Weeks & Counting

2 Weeks and a dream will become a sure reality.
2 Weeks and we will be away from our son for the first time.
2 Weeks and I'll be on a plane with my husband.
2 Weeks and I will cross the Atlantic for the first time.
2 Weeks and I will be in a country where I don't speak the same language.
2 Weeks and we will be in SPAIN!!!

*Can't' wait for the fresh seafood!*

*My first bull fight . . . will be gruesome, but amazing.*

*Can't wait to see the beautiful flamenco dancers!*

Spain has always been a place that Brett and I wanted to experience together.  Since he went there on his mission, he has told me about the amazing foods, culture and architecture.  We were seriously thinking of a trip about 3 years ago, but other things kept coming up so we put it off.  After seeing the movie Up we decided that we didn't want to regret never experiencing our own "Paradise Falls".  The next day we  bought plane tickets to Spain.

According to Ray Charles, "If you wanna' have a ball, you gotta' go out and spend some cash."  So we did and are.

SPAIN OR BUST!

Lily's favorite

Why do dogs always find gross things to bring home with them? Seems like everytime we take Lily hiking, bikein, sking, or anywhere for that matter she finds something gross to roll in or eat or a combination of the two.

Yes that is a deer leg........

It is a good thing we love her so much.

This sad seasons ends!

Here are a few pictures of Mallory and I's favorite mini-golf ski spots, which sadly has been discovered by the pro-skier's and is now impossible to ski without someone dropping in on top of you....... awesome. Sadly the season is coming to a end here really quickly  and even though it has been one of the worst seasons as far as snowfall, I am sad to see it go. These are the very few pictures I took (I always forget the camera). Enjoy.

P.S.If there is anyone who would like to do some spring sled access skiing hit me up!

Dave, one of my fellow dawnpatrolers deciding on a line before I haul him up the ridge.

Looking down 1500 vertical feet of powder and cliff lines.

Getting ready to fall off a nice big cliff with style (it did not end well for me that day).

Not too bad for a week after the last snowfall (this is why I do not ski at a resort anymore).

Utah was plagued with a unusually unstable snow pack all season long, this is just a taste of what we dealt with most of the season, if it was not hard slabs breaking down to the depth hoar it was the warm weather causing point releases that would run into weak layers. With two wreaked snowmobiles (one only two days old) and the worse snow pack I have seen here in Utah, I look forward to a warm summer, trip to Spain, time to fix a couple of sleds, and hopefully a great season in 2011.

Buddies For Life

Lily wasn't too keen on the idea of this addition that was taking our attention away from her.  She wouldn't really have much to do with Kayden and often "acted out" by running away when she went out to go potty at night.  I think she is warming up to the idea of another pair of hands to scratch her head (plus, to my dismay, I think she likes how he tastes).
