New Home - SLC, Ut
Yes, we made the hard decision to move to Capitol Hill in downtown SLC, Ut. We LOVE it here, especially since we can have Lily. We occupy the top floor of an old Victorian house that we have recently found out was built in the late 1800's. The landlord was even gracious enough to let us add some color, which makes us feel a little less 'pale'. We are so close to everything, namely the mountains. Our ward has been so fun to get to know so far and we've found some fun connections out here to family and friends. My siblings were teasing us that we would turn into 'hippies' and 'liberals' (no offense to those of you who are apart of any hippie or liberal grouping) . . . we will keep you posted if those changes occur.
LILY
Meet Lily - The newest addition to our family. She is a pure bread Black Lab (I like to refer to her as 'Lily-Bean'). She is 2 years old and loves cheese, peanut butter, and SNOW. Brett discovered her through Lab Rescue Utah, once we decided to adopt. We went back a forth about starting with a puppy or adopting and once we heard that Labradors are the most euthanized pet in the US we felt strongly about saving one that is already or partially grown. She was already fully trained and makes a great house dog. We fell in love with her once we saw her and it's been amazing ever since. Brett and I are constantly amazed at how obedient, loyal, loving and fun she is and has been; she is a good dog. She has already been skiing, mountain biking, fishing and hiking with us all over the Wasatch front, but has especially loved the early snow we've received. She goes crazy for SNOW - that's why she fits in so well with the two of us! We love her and hope all who come in contact feel the same!
Finally . . . Sorry!
Well, it's only been a few months since we last updated our blog . . . sorry about that! We have been so busy with moving, getting a dog, jobs, pilates classes (just Mallory of course), and Outdoor Emergency Care classes that we've had to put this off.

Favorites From You Tube Again - Thanks to Esther
So, I do consider myself capable of figuring out whatever I need to when it comes to computers, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to post the actual video from You Tube onto my blog. Thanks to the efforts of the great Esther Hunt, she has mentored me to where I am now . . . able to post my You Tube Video. Now you can actually see what I mean from my last post.

Favorites From You Tube
I was going through some of my personal You Tube favorites today and thought that I'd post some of them. I have to thank my cousins for sharing some of these with me. I got a serious ab workout with the Drunk Cowboy one; "Step, bump. Step, bump, bump".
I also posted Jamie Pierre's amazing drop of 255 feet up at Grand Targhee. We got to have dinner with him a few months back. It was cool to talk to him about his jump and discuss the future.
And how could I forget our favorite skiier, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. We can't wait for the new season and the new movie premier's! Check out www.mspfilms.com and watch the teaser for "Claim". Some of the skiers in this movie were up in Alaska with Brett this spring.

Grandpa Kjar - Passing of a Great Man
This July, Grandpa Kjar passed away, due to health complications and old age. He was a great man, to say the least, and these are a few of the memories I have of him: His 'Radio' voice, Rocket Juice, lawn mowing rides, water fights, cherry picking, dogs, letting me drive his new mercedes on my 16th birthday, bonfires in the backyard, more dogs, Hill Cumorah Pageant, honorable priesthood holder, Patriarch.
Stahl Family Vacation
I just have to say that I have some awesome in-laws. Over Memorial Day weekend, I decided to get our family together for a fun-filled vacation. And where else to do that than in St. George! We spent most of the trip biking the Green Valley Loop and spent a full day in Zion National Park. I am proud to say that as an avid Acrophobic, I conquered the Angel's Landing hike. Even Brett, the adrenaline junkie, was a little nervous in some parts . . . that really made me smile!

Brett's Return
It was amazing to be apart from the person that has the most effect in your life. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I have gained such admiration for those military wives and families that sacrifice not only one month, like me, but multiple months and years. I was so excited when he came home. So, what do we do when Brett gets home after not seeing him for a month? We go climbing . . . and then we go on a biking/climbing trip to St. George . . . the man never stops!
